The Husband

Husband, You are the Head of the home in God’s manual- the Bible. You are the solider that stands guard and protects the gift the Lord has given you- your wife, family. The enemy knows that if he can get the husband (solider) to fall or be severely injured, he has ticketed access to your family! So rise up to your calling, stand strong for your wife, stay strong for your family, remain in God’s presence, remain with your wife!

The Bible says, “For the husband is head of the wife as Christ is the Head of the church, Himself the Savior of [His] body” Ephesians 5:23. You are the Head of your wife, not the other way round. The

Christ is the Head of the Church: His Headship has the following attributes

* His eyes: He watches over us- His friends, His brothers and sisters. We are his body and His eyes give us direction, insight into reality, and He sees what we do not see. He sees our behaviour, our ways and when we hide to do things, His eyes are wide open watching us. The Bible says

For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with God), and His ears are attentive to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who practice evil [to oppose them, to frustrate, and defeat them]. Peter 3:12

‘The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry;…. Psalm 34:15

* His Nose: He breathes in the aroma of our worship as a sweet-smelling sacrifice. ” Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name.

And the smoke of the incense (the perfume) arose in the presence of God, with the prayers of the people of God (the saints), from the hand of the angel.’ Revelation 8:4

Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name. ‘ Hebrews 13:15

* His ears: His ears hear our prayers, our pleas, our words, our thoughts.

David prayed ‘INCLINE YOUR ear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and distressed, needy and desiring.’ Psalm 86:1

In Isaiah the Bible says ‘And when you spread forth your hands [in prayer, imploring help], I will hide My eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Yourhands are full of blood! Isaiah 1:15

In a message to Hezekiah through Isaiah, the Lord said ‘Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will add to your life fifteen years. Isaiah 38:5

Paul saying to Cornelieus said ‘And he said, Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and harkened to, andyour donations to the poor have been known and preserved before God [so that He heeds and is about to help you].’ Acts 10:31

‘In the same way you married men should live considerately with [your wives], with an intelligent recognition [of the marriage relation], honoring the woman as [physically] the weaker, but [realizing that you] are joint heirs of the grace (God’s unmerited favor) of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered and cut off. [Otherwise you cannot pray effectively.]’ 1 Peter 3:7
