Family is a force to do you good all the days of your life and is unconditional. Thus the enemy will do so much to disrupt this force and make it conditional!

Matthew 24:1, Vs 12

If the foundation on which a family is built is wrong, destroyed, then the outcome will be pain, anger, regret and death. Family is the Foundation of anything in life and any two forces can dwell in families:
1. Love : gods love is the winning factor in families. God works in love. Love doesn’t consider the wrong that’s been done to you.
Let’s start with this;
Is your family working in Love? Do you understand God’s kind of Love? Love is a commandment, a way of life.
1st Corinthians 13:1– what is the authenticity of your confession to God? It takes a level of maturity to walk in love.

Pressure in family can make you closer and better: pressure is a privilege. Don’t quit loving. Pressure is an opportunity to develop, and not quit. Love is something therapy cannot solve: therapy may make sense to you, but when there is  pressure, the unsteady foundation comes up, and you discover there never was any lasting help from the therapy! Be careful how you treat your spouse, parent, children, relative. How they treat you is irrelevant: when you choose to love them, you will find out that life becomes easy and memorable.

Love never gives up! Love cares more for others. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t give. Love doesn’t force itself on others. Love doesn’t keep a record of the sins and wrongs of others. Love puts up with anything! Love trusts God always. Love never looks back! Love lasts. God’s kind of Love is perfect.

To put the institution of family on the foundation of selfishness is a perversion of the love walk. You’ve got to address the root of your family, because eventually if the root has been infected, the fruits will definitely be infected.

The bottom line of walking in the spirit is walking in love. The love God should be the root of every/your family:Initiate a love life. This way you dethrone selfishness.

2. Selfishness: this is the foundation of every issue that crops up in any family. It is sensory. It is a mind-set and not a behaviour.
Genesis 12:1

It Births wickedness, self-preservation, destruction. You decide to handle things yourself, instead of allowing God to take care of you… This is when you allow your emotions to be God of your life! If you do not deal with selfishness, then you will not deal with Satan and his wickedness, and he will deal with you until you are death, because he nostrils fear with it. And what you are afraid of will happen to you.

How did you get here?
A. Words- something someone said that made sense, but never made faith! Who is feeding your mindset? Who is keeping the selfishness alive?
B. Words- something some someone said or did that pierced like a knife and hurt extremely! Did it make you stay in a casing? Build a hedge around yourself?

Selfishness is immature. It always breeds hypocrisy. Selfishness seeks to dethrone love, and robs people and families of great things. it leads to poverty, lack, un-productiveness. Every sin is based in selfishness.

How to kill the selfish you….
A. God consciousness:- Be God conscious and not selfish conscious. Show compassion. Find something bigger than yourself. Find Gods plan for your life. Being good to people does not depict your closeness to God, neither will it grant you a place with the Lord: having a close, personal relationship with God produces goodness, meekness and much more as addressed below;

Galatians 5:19-23

¹⁹ When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, ²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, ²¹ envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

B. Crave and go for perfect, complete, mature love:- Buy a Bible (or let us know and we will send one free to you), study God’s word. Do you have electronic devises that can accommodate a Bible? download Bibles with no cost to you from the internet. By doing this, the Word of God will so flood your heart with love and you will begin to love even when people make it hard for you to love them.
