Lets take a journey back to several centuries ago….. When the first man was made!
From the times of the beginning of Adam and then Eve (who came from Adam’s ribs), the soul essence of her creation was to be a COMPANION, A helper….. Not a leave in lover, or a by the side fun tab. God made man and then woman, male and then female; He performed the first marriage ceremony, He said the first marriage blessings, He laid the first block of marital relationship.
Sex was first performed in the garden of Eden, first practiced and first approved by God for these two reasons:
– multiplication
– pleasure shared between a husband and a wife
MULTIPLICATION
Without Adam and Eve, there would never have been you or me. There wouldn’t be any one left if reproduction seized today: give it 150 years and the earth would have 1 or 2 aged people alive. In other words, one of the main purposes God created sex and attraction between male and female was to eventually initiate multiplication the God way (via Marriage).
Now the Lord God said, It is not good (sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper meet (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him. Genesis 2:18 AMP
The Lord further said before and after He made Eve:
Now the Lord God said, It is not good (sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper meet (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him. And the rib or part of his side which the Lord God had taken from the man He built up and made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. Then Adam said, This [creature] is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of a man. (Genesis 2:18, 22, 23 AMP)
Then The Lord further said:
And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth. Genesis 1:28 AMP
PLEASURE
Agreeably, sex is pleasurable, but sex within the institution of marriage is the ultimate height and is Godly above all!
You may ask these questions;
1. If God knew the pleasures sex gives, then why did He create it and then ask me not to enjoy it with my boyfriend/girlfriend/sex partner/live in lover?
2. I don’t want to get married anytime soon, so why can’t I just play around for the time being?
3. It’s my body, and I can do what I want with it and with whom I choose to have pleasure with!
4. I don’t believe in God, so why do I need some spiritual being to tell me how to live my life?
5. I never want to get married, but I want to still have sex. That isn’t a crime, is it?
A major question I’d like to ask is, ” if you had to choose between living for the next 50 years and dying now, which would you choose in a fraction of a second?”
Sexual pleasure outside marriage is named by God as FORNICATION.
Sexual pleasure within marriage, but not with your marriage companion is named by God as ADULTERY.
ADULTERY
God sees adultery in 2 ways;
1. Sleeping with other people asides from your husband or your wife
2. Looking lustfully at a woman/lady/girl
Either way, LUST is the key element of both events!
Hear what God has to say and is still saying;
27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’[e] 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:27-28
32 But whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks heart and understanding (moral principle and prudence); he who does it is destroying his own life. Proverbs 6:32
LUST
This is a feeling that can either be put out or fired up! Note, the word feeling was used, It is not love or affection, it is a self-centred, selfish, I want it now, and above all a deadly feeling. This expression has brought great men and women to their knees, led youths to their death, and plunged nations to their destruction. It is an ungodly tool used effectively by the human race.
It is important to note that ” God created the attractive force between the male and the female genders, but He did not create the destructive force of Lust: this is activated from a selfish lifestyle, a willingness to fulfil ones gratified wanting and cravings. We are created in God’s image, but not all humans live the God life. And this life is God’s expression through you.
The human nature ordinarily is selfish, and though The first man and woman were pure and holy before God, but were deceived by the enemy through words (note: that they had the will power to say NO to the devil, but instead succumbed to his tricks of deception), at this stage was when selfishness was introduced into the system: Eve and Adam wanted to satisfy their curiosity even though they were warned strictly not to eat of the tree of Good and Evil.
Now this selfish nature is one that Christ died for, so that you can stand before God just the same way Adam and Eve first did! The Bible says, in those days, God walked with Adam and Eve, He had discussions, He laughed, He played, and He always visited them!
Question– What LIFE would you rather live? One where you discuss every stage of your life with God and succeed all the way, or one where you live everyday counting your mistakes and regrets in life?
Interestingly as observed above, the instinct of LUST, and the intent to feed it isn’t only a feeling restricted to teenagers and the early 20’s: it is an allowable feeling spread across adulthood as well. Meeting an attractive male or female isn’t the problem, it’s what you do with that attractive force that counts for or against you!
What first flashes through your mind isn’t the problem, it’s what you allow your mind to feed on and dissect is what makes or mares you.
